Thesis pitch: 

A whimsical collection of illustrations derived from the misinterpretations of peculiar and often absurd recipe names, depicted as though literally translated through the eyes of a child. 

Thesis pieces 3 & 4 (I want to add things to 1 & 2 before posting them!): this is "Beavertails" and "Angel-hair pasta"

International Buy Nothing Day

It's coming up - it's November 25th this year in North America, the 26th Internationally. This illustration was created for my illustration activism class. I don't often work digital voluntarily, but for this I did. Now I am having trouble choosing which to hand in for my final copy! The sketch is here included, and the green version is not really in the running for the final (I just liked how it looked.. it's different). The concept for this piece was the extremes some people would need to be driven to to stop their consumption for a day ... lock up the wallet and swallow the key!

In-class Doodle

I'm actually going to try to make more of an effort when drawing hair on my characters - usually it's a last minute thing after I've finished their faces :s I was playing with a stomp last week during class and liked the results ... maybe I'll do more..
